Experience some Culture at Norwood & Bishopsholme Community Centre
Norwood and Bishopsholme Community Centre, Busk Meadow, Norwood, will open its doors on Saturday 26 July 11am to 3pm for local residents to gain a cultural experience and get the chance to purchase some local art work!
The open day, organised by Norma Hallatt, the Secretary of the Norwood and Bishopsholme Tenants’ and Residents’ Association, will give local residents the chance to show off their art work, which includes paintings, flower arrangements and prints. All art work will be on sale on the day. The local history group will also be putting on a slide show for residents interested in seeing what the local community was like in years gone by.
Norma Hallet added “This is the fourth year we have run this open day and it has always proved very popular with local residents. The artwork on display and the beautiful flower arrangements really are a must see!”
Paul Voyse, North Area Manager at Sheffield Homes said, “The open day at the Norwood and Bishopsholme Community Centre has always proved popular. Our estate wardens lend a hand setting up the stalls and members of staff attend and give their support. As well as bringing the community together it also gives our local art and history groups the chance to show off their talents.”
There is a small entrance fee of 10p on the day and tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
