Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Tenants Forum

Local black and minority ethnic (BME) council tenants in Sheffield are working with Sheffield Homes to organise a special event to help other BME tenants make the most of the Decent Homes programme when work is carried out in their homes.

The Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Tenants Forum is being held on Thursday 22nd March, 5pm to 8pm at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club.  This informal event aims to provide local BME tenants and residents with an opportunity to learn more about Decent Homes, meet contractors and take part in interactive workshops.  Visitors to the event can also use the forum to ask senior staff from Sheffield Homes about a range of housing issues.

An interpreter service will also be provided on request and travel and carer expenses will be paid.  Free refreshments and food will also be available.  Tenants interested in attending can book a place or an interpreter by contacting Jane Lyon on 0114 273 5566 or emailing getinvolved@sheffieldhomes.org.uk
