Our jobs are hot property

Sheffield Homes has joined the Sheffield Employers Forum at their jobs fair next week. Alongside other businesses you can find a whole range of career opportunities including housing under one roof.

 

Sheffield Homes - one of the leading housing organisations in the country - hopes this event is as successful as one it held in October, which attracted around 1,000 people and resulted in 430 completed job applications.

 

Sheffield Homes offers a wide variety of jobs in which no two days are the same. All involve a commitment to excellent customer care, continuous service improvement and a desire to help people.

 

Visitors to the fair can chat to people already doing the jobs they are interested in, including the roles of Housing Officer, Community Warden, Administrative Officer and System Support Officer.

 

"One of the best things about my job is working directly with a wide range of people in the community," said Housing Officer Lemuel Banton. "It’s nice to walk down the street and have people say hello and ask how you are."

 

Senior Housing Officer Donna Andrews added: "We all work to build relationships with everyone in the community. Like most jobs with Sheffield Homes, every day is different."

The jobs fair takes place at the Skyline Suite, Ponds Forge Sports Centre, Sheffield on Wednesday 7 February from 10am-3pm.

 

Sheffield Homes staff will be on hand to help people fill out application forms.
