New golden number for housing enquiries south of the city

Sheffield Homes has launched a single contact telephone number for customers accessing housing services on the south side of the city.

The new ‘golden number’ – which is 205 3333 - aims to make it easier for tenants to contact us and get a prompt, helpful response to all housing enquiries, except repairs.

Highly trained Customer Service Assistants will answer the call.  They aim to deal with most calls without the need to transfer the customer to someone else.

The new telephone number covers all phone enquiries from tenants covered by offices at Howden House, First Point @ Manor Library, Newfield Green, Lowedges, Jordanthorpe, First Point @ Crystal Peaks and Woodhouse.  The lines are open between 8am and 5.30pm.

The new number does not apply to day-to-day repairs, which tenants should continue to report to Kier’s service centre on 273 5555.

“We provide such a wide range of services that we recognise it can sometimes be difficult to get the information you need straightaway,” said Janet Parry, Director of Housing Management at Sheffield Homes.

“We have launched this new number to ensure that any housing enquiry is dealt with promptly and efficiently.  It’s part of our ongoing commitment to improving customer service wherever we can.”
