Sheffield Homes’ Director of Investment Jon Lovibond pulled on his work boots and donned his new staff uniform as he accepted an invitation from Decent Homes partner Keepmoat, to join the front line of the Decent Homes programme for a day.

Children from Batemoor Plant for the Future - 5 Feb 2008
Children from Batemoor did their bit to help keep the area green for future generations, by taking part in tree planting organised by Sheffield Homes. The pupils who were all from Lower Meadow Primary School, Batemoor took the opportunity to get outside, get their hands dirty and learn about how to care for the trees and their local environment.

Sheffield’s Lord Mayor Cllr Arthur Dunworth and the Lady Mayoress Cllr Mrs Kathleen Chadwick will be donning gardening gloves with spades at the ready, when they prepare to dig in and help Shooters Grove School pupils and the local Tenants’ and Residents’ Association plant Whitebeam, Rowan and Magnolia trees on the green space area between Deer Park Road and Deer Park Close, Stannington, on Friday 25 January at 11am.

Over 21,000 homes throughout Sheffield have now been improved through the Decent Homes programme. Mrs Smedley, a tenant in Woodhouse, helped Sheffield Homes celebrate this milestone with the ‘key to the door’ of her newly improved home – number 21,000 in the programme.

Police Community Support Officers (PCSO’s) working in Arbourthorne took the saying “get on yer bike” literally this week after they were given two new bicycles from people in the local community.
