Birthday girl Donna celebrates in revamped home

Sheffield based construction company and Decent Homes partner Henry Boot promised Donna Norton work would be completed to refurbished her home in time for a special occasion – her birthday.

 

They kept their promise, which means Mrs Norton was able to celebrate her 35^th birthday in a revamped home, complete with new bathroom, kitchen, door and windows.

 

Mrs Norton, will be celebrating her birthday with son Daniel and husband Robert. Decent Homes partner, Henry Boot who has been carrying out the work on her home helped kick off the festivities by presenting her with flowers, chocolates and a bottle of champagne.

 

A life long resident of Sheffield, Donna has lived in her current home for four years. “I’m really pleased that the work has been completed in time for my birthday, it’s like receiving an extra present. My old kitchen and bathroom really needed replacing and I love with the new ones”, says Mrs Norton.

 

The £669 million Sheffield Decent Homes programme – managed by Sheffield Homes – is the largest of its kind in the country, and aims to improve over 40,000 homes across the city.

 

Mrs Norton’s home is the first to be completed by new Decent Homes contractor Henry Boot, who are one of the two additional partners to deliver the Decent Homes programme for Sheffield Homes.

 

Henry Boot has been taken on to deliver the Decent Homes programme in the Gleadless Valley area of Sheffield and will carry out work on 800 homes during the year.
