Parson Cross Festival Returns!
Parson Cross Festival is back for another year and is shaping up to be a glorious explosion of colour, singing and dancing!
The event, which aims to bring the local community closer together, has been a huge success in recent years with up to 10,000 people visiting in just one day.
This year’s activities will take place on Saturday 19 July 11am – 5.00pm at Chaucer School playing fields at the Halifax Road entrance. On the day, local residents will be treated to a host of shows and attractions including a fairground, Graves Park Animal Farm, dancers, live music and bands on stage, sumo wrestling and rodeo bull riding!
Sheffield Homes will have a marquee with information stands and a lucky dip for the kids, as well as a wishing well for residents to make a wish regarding Sheffield Homes services. The Decent Homes Exhibition Trailer will also be on site.
The event is organised by the Parson Cross Community Development Forum. Sheffield Homes is also providing funding and support for the event.
Paul Voyse, North Area Manager at Sheffield Homes said, “We are thrilled to be involved once again with the Parson Cross Festival. This event has always been successful in bringing the local community together and this year’s festival attractions promise to draw large crowds once again.”
Norma Ashmore, Parson Cross Community Development Forum added, “Our members have worked really hard to pull this festival together and it looks like it’s going to be a fantastic day with lots of entertainment and attractions for all the family.”
