YES Team Neighbourhood Wardens take on role of posties for the day to raise funds for Sheffield Children's Hospital

Sheffield Homes Your Estates Services (YES) Wardens who took on the role of posties for the day, managed to raise £100 of funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

 

The funds were raised when Manor Park Tenants and Residents Association (TARA) needed 1,000 leaflets delivered to homes on the Manor Park estate by an express service. Sheffield Homes YES Team Wardens, always keen to help out the community in which they work, stepped in to deliver the leaflets in one afternoon.

 

Manor Park TARA members were very grateful for the speedy and efficient service in delivering the leaflets and wanted to pay for the service. However they were delighted when instead the YES Team Wardens suggested that the money be donated to Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity.

 

Dennis Ward one of the YES Team Wardens says ”I wouldn’t want to swop my job as a Warden for a postman, but we are always keen to do as much as possible for the local community. We’re also glad that our hard work will help the Sheffield Children’s Hospital which does such a fantastic job and hope that the donation will help children that come for treatment.”

 

Fran Hunt, fundraiser for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “It is wonderful that the YES service wardens decided to donate the money to the Children’s Hospital and we are really grateful for their support.”
