Crabtree Grange tenants have an egg-cellent time this Easter

Sheffield Homes Decent Homes partner, Wates Group Ltd, put on an Easter Party for all the residents at sheltered housing schemes Crabtree Grange and nearby Firshill Court.

 

Wates Group Ltd have been undertaking Decent Homes renovations at Crabtree Grange. The work has involved installing brand new kitchens and bathroom suites, making sure the properties are well insulated and have modern heating. As a little extra, with the help of Sheffield Homes staff, they have even re-landscaped the gardens for the residents to enjoy this summer.

 

The Easter Party, which took place on Wednesday 26th March, was organised to thank the residents of Crabtree Grange for their patience and support while the work is near completion. On the day the residents fully enjoyed a range of fun activities and treats including Bingo, live singing from local vocal artist, Dennis Priestly, karaoke and a buffet meal. Winners of the Bingo were presented with Argos vouchers and mini-hampers courtesy of Williams Electrical. The buffet was supplied by AWM Building and Maintenance and Wates paid for the vocal artist.

 

Alison Fox, Wates, Customer Liaison Officer, added: “It has been a fantastic success. The tenants, most of them of which are elderly, have thoroughly enjoyed the day. Sheffield Homes and the contractors have a great relationship with the tenants and have been really keen to support day. I know that we are all looking forward to supporting future events and activities.”

 

The Decent Homes programme is a £669million scheme of improvements to Council homes managed by Sheffield Homes and is contributing to improving the quality of life for Sheffield’s residents.
