Customer views wanted at Decent Homes Exhibition
A special exhibition to gain customer feedback on a range of products that are being used to improve customer homes as part of the Decent Homes Programme and Repairs Service is being held at Ponds Forge on Tuesday 22nd May and Wednesday 23rd May.
Over the last 12 months Sheffield Homes has been working with tenant representatives, contractors and suppliers to review some of the products like boilers, baths and sink units that are used to improve homes as part of the £669 million Decent Homes Programme and Repairs Service. The review aims to ensure:
- existing products are of the highest quality
- the best possible prices are being paid for these products
- new products that become available which could offer the same or higher quality standards but provide savings are being reviewed
Any savings made from introducing the new products will be reinvested in customer homes.
Janet Sharpe, Assistant Director of Investment, Sheffield Homes comments
“This is a great opportunity for customers to come along and view the new products being considered. Sheffield Homes officers and suppliers will be on hand to answer any questions customers may have about the quality of products we use and the improvements being carried out as part of the Decent Homes Programme and Repairs Service. We are hoping that we’ll get an excellent attendance, as the exhibition is key to ensuring that we take customer views fully into account when considering which products to use.”
On display will be a range of products including:
- Bathroom units
- Adaptations (specialist bath seats, grab rails, disability equipment)
- Showers
- Range of taps
