Christmas Karaoke for Blackwell Court residents
Sheffield Homes, Decent Homes partner Wates helped to bring festive cheer to over 30 residents of sheltered housing scheme, Blackwell Court in the Park Area of Sheffield by organising a festive Karaoke party.
Wates are currently carrying out Decent Homes work on the scheme, fitting new kitchens and walk-in showers to over 30 rooms. Work started on refurbishing the scheme in October 2007 and is due to be completed by mid 2008.
Wates staff dressed up as a variety of Christmas characters including a jester and Santa to help with party go with a swing and residents gathered in the communal lounge to enjoy a mix of mince pies, music and of course the visit from Santa!
Diane Tandy, Sheffield Homes warden at Blackwell Court says “Wates are doing a great job to transform accommodation and have built up a great relationship with the residents. The residents really enjoyed the party, and would like to say a big thank you to Wates for organising it.”
Commenting Wates Customer Service Manager, Christine Neatby says “All the residents have been very patient while we've been carrying out this work and as a thank you we wanted to help bring festive cheer to the residents."
