Residents at Sheffield Homes’ Sheltered Housing Scheme, Mount View Lodge at Norton Lees, have made new friends thanks to their Get Involved Open Day which was held in October.

Seventeen shoppers carried out 122 visits at offices and reception points as part of an annual mystery shopping exercise.

Sheffield Homes will receive a helping hand from junior neighbourhood wardens in the south east of the city this week when they help to keep their community greener by digging in to plant trees at Spa View Lane, Hackenthorpe.

Safer environment created for Gleadless Youngsters - 13th October
An initiative carried out by Sheffield Homes’ Neighbourhood Wardens, South Yorkshire Police and Sheffield City Council to provide a safer environment for children who attend Bankwood Community Primary School in Gleadless Valley has been hailed as a success by local residents.
Launch of the Mosborough Tenants and Community Association - 10th October 2008
A meeting has been organised to launch a new Tenants and Community Association (TACA) in Mosborough. The community has been without any representation for some considerable time and local people are invited to volunteer their time to the new group, which will help to increase the sense of belonging within the community.

Sheffield Homes received a helping hand when they began their tree planting renewal programme in and around the city this week. Pupils from Reignhead Primary School, Beighton, helped to plant 4 ornamental pear trees on the green space next to the side entrance of Reignhead Primary School, Beighton.
