Supported Housing in Sheffield
Sheffield Homes works in partnership with Supported Housing Agencies to provide self contained accommodation and support for adults who may find it difficult to manage or sustain a tenancy on their own.
These Agencies include:
- Target Link
- Thursday Project
- Refugee Move On
Sheffield City Council provides unfurnished properties under a licence agreement to Supported Housing Agencies. The agencies then furnish the properties and sub let them to people who are registered as part of the Agencies’ project.
The Council’s rules on allocations regarding size and property type apply to these properties, and the prospective occupiers must meet the criteria of the project.
The Supported Housing Agencies provide life skills training and support to the occupier until such a time as they are able to live independently. They then withdraw their support and the occupier becomes a secure tenant of Sheffield City Council.
