If you are suffering domestic abuse
We are here to help and can offer you free, confidential advice. Regardless of where you currently live, you can contact us and we will help you.
We know that you may need to seek advice away from your normal area of residence. For that reason, you can visit us at any Local Area Housing Office or First Point in the city.
When you approach us we will go through your options. We will work with you to make sure you have got a place of safety to live without fear. There are many options available to you, including introducing safety measures within your current home. Everything you tell us is confidential and we will not share this with anybody unless you give us consent to.
If you feel that you need to specifically see a female or male officer then please request this at reception. We can arrange for translation and interpretation services.
Without putting yourself at risk, please bring as much identification as possible, for example; birth certificate for you and your children, any benefit books, money, bank books, credit cards, driving license. These documents will help with planning your safety.
You will also get useful help and advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau and Sheffield Domestic Abuse Forum. Attached at the bottom of this page is a list of useful organisations and their contact details.
