Sheltered Groups

These are held bi-monthly at a Sheltered Scheme in the group’s area. The role of the group includes:

• Ensuring that tenants are involved in monitoring the standards of service
• Involving tenants in planning activities for sheltered schemes to improve the quality of life for tenants
• Consulting on changes to service delivery
• Identifying and discussing issues relating to Supporting People
• Receiving reports on the Decent Homes Programme

As part of the Sheltered Housing Strategy, it is intended to review both the consultation arrangements for sheltered housing and to introduce a more representative governance arrangement.

Open to:

• Tenant representatives from each sheltered scheme
• TARA representatives whose membership includes sheltered schemes
• Friends of the scheme can attend as observers
