When do I get a certificate?

When you sign for a new tenancy or apply for a ‘right to buy’.

How will a certificate help me choose a house? 

It shows that the property is more efficient and that it uses less gas and electricity.

How long will a survey take? 

About 45 minutes. Most of the work is done outside, although a surveyor may need access to your home to check the thickness of insulation and the type of heating in your home.

How much will a certificate cost?

Nothing. The cost is met by Sheffield Homes
