Environment weeks

Sheffield Homes joined up with Partners Kier Sheffield LLP and Green Estates to celebrate four weeks of environmental action at an environment community day on Batemoor Road.

The environment weeks took place throughout May and early June. The community day included a nature scavenger hunt competition, which proved to be very popular with local families. The scavenger hunt included a number of fun challenges such as making a daisy chain and trying to identify as many different types of flowers and trees as possible that grew within the local area. The top three wins each received a prize including bee houses and a goodie bag.

Each week consisted of different environmental theme including:

                     Week 1 - Getting involved with National walk to work week

                     Week 2 - Pledge for your planet – make a pledge

                    Week 3 - Plant Swap 

                    Week 4 - Team events week
