Tell us what you want, where you live
We have launched an exciting new campaign called Going Local, which focuses on what our customers want where they live.
Sheffield City Council has allocated £800,000 to spend across the city on things that tenants decide are important to them.
Any ideas must directly benefit council tenants including:
- Improvements to green areas and open spaces
- Improvements to shared areas of flat and maisonette blocks
- Initiatives to tackle anti-social behaviour or to help people manage their tenancies
- Advice and information for tenants, including debt and money advice
We are organising a series of summer Going Local roadshows to gather feedback from customers on what they would like to see done to improve their neighbourhoods.
A list of Going Local events for across the city is attached in the grey box below, so please have a look and, if you can, go along to one of the events to ensure you have your say. Please be aware that some details may still be subject to change.
Local Housing Forums - made up of Tenants and Residents Association members - local councillors and Sheffield Homes Area Boards are also working in partnership to gather feedback from local people on what services they want locally.
All of this information will help determine where the money is spent and where we can make improvements. We want to get as many views as possible, so please let us have your ideas about your
area and include your address as we need to make sure your ideas are local to you!

A project group of tenants is guiding the whole process for the Going Local campaign and Service Promises (previously referred to as Local Offers and TSA Standards).
Over the coming months we will finalise the Going Local plans and promote them widely across the city, including in October's In Touch.
