Award winning!

The award winning City Stewardship Scheme is the result of a partnership between us, Kier and Community Training Services (CTS). Its aim is to help young people gain valuable work experience, which in turn will allow them to access further employment, education and training.   Learners can choose from three areas of work:

• Painting and decorating
• Environmental projects

All tasks undertaken are managed by an experienced Kier Supervisor. Learners are also supported by vocational trainers from CTS.

What do the learners do?

Under the watchful eye of Kier Supervisors, learners work on the following projects:

• Garden Pledge Scheme
• Communal area painting
• Vacant property painting
• Planting in communal gardens
