Trees in your garden
Trees in a garden provide many benefits – they give colour, shape, texture and a measure of privacy. They filter the air and provide a home for wildlife.
They can also be a worry, however. Is the tree healthy? Is it in a dangerous condition? Does it need pruning? Sometimes people don’t notice signs of ill-health in their tree until it’s too late. Others think their tree is dangerous when in fact it’s fine.
If you’ve got a tree in your garden, please keep an eye on its condition and contact your local housing office if you’re concerned about it.
We have just produced a fact sheet on caring for trees. You can download it from this page.
