Approximately three weeks before it starts, your Customer Liaison Advisor (CLA) will contact you to arrange an appointment to discuss the work to your home. This meeting will take approximately one hour and is an opportunity to discuss:

What you will need to do:
Below is a list of things you need to do before work begins. We will tell you when to start these preparations.
If you need any packing boxes or help to pack and move your belongings, please contact your CLA who will arrange this for you.
Before work starts in an area of your home:
- Take care of your belongings in parts that will be affected
- Put away any valuables, ornaments and personal effects in a safe place
- Take pictures and mirrors off the walls
- Remove any light fittings/ shades that are your own and you want to keep
- You may wish to take carpets up in certain areas - we'll tell you if so. However, dust sheets will be provided and used
- We will also tell you if any furniture needs to be moved away from any walls - remember help can always be provided
Before work starts in the kitchen:
- Empty the cupboards
- Take down any curtains or blinds
- Move any small appliances like microwaves and kettles out, and keep them somewhere handy as you will still need to use them
- Move any furniture out of the room
- Remove any fittings that are your own and you want to keep
- Take up any carpets or flooring you want to keep
- We'll tell you if any big appliances need moving into the middle of the room
Before work starts in the bathroom:
- Take down cabinets (if possible)
- Take down any curtains or blinds
- Remove any fittings you may want to keep – for example, towel rails or mirrors
- Take up carpets or flooring you want to keep
