I have a pest problem - who should I contact?

If you have a pest problem you should contact Sheffield City Council’s Environmental Service on 0114 2037410 / 2037411 (9-5pm  Monday to Friday) or by e-mail environmentalservices@sheffield.gov.uk.

Rats and bedbugs are treated free of charge for householders but businesses will be charged.

Other treatments are charged as follows (there is a discount where proof of current Income Support / Housing Benefit is provided):

• Wasps/Bees
  Full charge: £49 plus additional £21 for each extra nest treated in one visit
  Discounted charge: £35 plus additional £21 for each extra nest treated in one visit.
  
• Rats
  Full charge: £35 for a maximum of 3 site visits to inspect/treat for rats. £10 per visit for any further inspections/treatments needed (as part of same job).
  FREE of charge for occupiers in receipt of the following benefits: housing benefit; income based job seekers allowance; pension credit (proof of benefits required).
  
• Mice
  Full charge: £65 for a maximum of 3 site visits to inspect/treat for mice. £20 per visit for any further inspections/treatments needed (as part of same job).
  Discounted charge: £35 reduced charge for occupiers in receipt of the following benefits: housing benefit; income based job seekers allowance; pension credit (proof of benefits required). Maximum of 3 visits and £20 per visit for any further inspections/treatments needed (as part of same job).
  
• Fleas
  Full charge: £65
  Discounted charge: £35
  
• Cockroaches & Pharaoh Ants
  Full Charge: £85
  Discounted charge: £55
  
• All other insect pests
  Full charge: £65
  Discounted charge: £35
  
• Other pests, such as moles and squirrels - please contact us for a quote
