Leaseholder information

Are you a leaseholder?

If you live in an ex-Council Flat or Maisonette property you are a leaseholder. Although you are technically a leaseholder of Sheffield City Council, most leaseholder services are managed by Sheffield Homes on its behalf.


We look after things like:-

  • Consultations on major works
  • Consultations on regular works like painting
  • Answering questions
  • Inspecting leasehold properties during work

As Landlord the Council are responsible for calculating and issuing bills to leaseholders. These may be for service charges and similar regular costs, as well as for major works.
