Prize draw questions and answers

I have a clear current rent account but have other linked arrears - do I qualify for the draw?

No. Only tenants without arrears of any type will be eligible for the draw.

I pay monthly by Direct Debit and at the end of the month, I will have a small amount of rent outstanding on my account – am I still eligible?

Yes, if you do not have arrears.  I.e. if the only reason you owe a small amount at the end of the month is because you pay by Direct Debit, then you will be included in the draw.

Although I am paying the amount advised, I have an outstanding Housing Benefit claim which shows my account as in arrears. Am I eligible for the draw?

Yes, as long as your account was clear before you made a claim for housing benefit, and you have continued to pay as advised.  If the only reason for the arrears is the fact that the housing benefit claim has not yet been processed, you will be eligible.

I am a joint tenant. The other joint tenant is in arrears with their half of the rent, but I am not. Am I eligible?

No. You will not be in the draw.

Do I have to have had a clear rent account for all of the three months, or is it just on the end date that I have to have a clear account?

You have to be clear at the end of each week during the three months, unless you pay by direct debit.

I sometimes have just a few pence or pounds left owing. Will I still qualify?

Unfortunately not. You need to have a completely clear account at the end of each week, unless paying by direct debit.

I have a Court Order against me but I have a clear rent account. Am I eligible?

Yes. As long as your account is clear, you will be in the draw.
