What does the scheme warden do?

An assessment will be carried out with you before you are offered the property to ensure that it is suitable for you and an individual support plan will be carried out within three weeks of you moving in. This is reviewed every six months or if there is a change of circumstances.

Your warden is usually available during weekday office hours to help you access any services you need. They will also regularly contact relatives or a doctor, if one is needed, and help in an emergency.

Wardens are also responsible for helping develop the community within a scheme and to assist with various activities. They are not able to collect pensions, prescriptions or shopping but can help residents without family or friends to find suitable assistance.
