What is sheltered housing?
It provides comfortable, secure accommodation in a relaxed environment, where you have your own front door so you can come and go as you please. The different property types are self-contained flats, studio apartments and bungalows.
Communal facilities include laundry, kitchen, a lounge for social activities and tended gardens. Many schemes have a guest room. There is a warden support service and a 24-hour emergency response system connected to each flat, known as the City Wide Care Alarm (CWCA) service. |
