Sheffield City Council is offering council and some housing association tenants the chance to move to a smaller, more manageable home. If you are a housing association tenant, please contact us below for more details.

Join Smart Move and you could:

• Save money – Moving to a smaller, more manageable property could save you up to £2700 per year by reducing outgoings on rent, council tax and bills
• Be added to the housing register and awarded a priority to move. Help will be offered to complete any forms
• Have a dedicated officer will help you through the whole process
• Have the chance to look at possible homes before deciding to move 
• Choose the area you would like to live in
• Receive help with finding a home and bidding
• Receive help and support with removals

If you live in a house with three or more bedrooms you can move to a property with one bedroom less
