Frozen pipes?

What should you do if your pipes are frozen?

If you are experiencing frozen internal pipes there are a couple of steps you can take to thaw them out.

    1)  Please leave your heating on a low temperature at all times during any cold spells.
    2)  Slowly warm up the frozen pipes using a hairdryer and wrap them in blankets to protect from frost.

If the frozen pipes are split or damaged then please call Kier's Service Centre on 0114 273 5555 and they will log your call as an urgent repair.

If the frozen pipes are outside your property please visit Yorkshire Water's website for further guidance on what to do.

If you are going away in the winter, please remember to turn off the water to your home at the stop tap. This should prevent your home flooding in the event of a burst pipe.
