What is an Area Board?

As well as our Board of Directors, we have established six Area Boards and a Sheltered Housing Advisory Panel.

Each Area Board is made up of five tenants, four independents and two council appointees.

What do they do?

The Area Boards take their lead from the Board of Directors and are primarily responsible for:

• Local Service Planning
• Local Investment Planning
• Local Tenant Participation
• Local Performance Monitoring

The current members of the South East Area Board are:

Tenants: Trevor Bamforth, Eric Staniland, Roy Coles, Kath Davis

Independents: Mavis Sellars, Norman Sellars, Brian Wrigley, Margaret Wilson, Derek Thompson

Council appointees: David Barker, Bryan Lodge
