Janet Parry, Director of Housing Management
I came to Sheffield in 1980 to work for Sheffield City Polytechnic, having lived in South Wales, Scotland and East Anglia. I have worked for the Sheffield City Council Housing Service and Sheffield Homes for 25 years in a variety of posts, including Research Officer, Area Manager, Director of Service Development and now Director of Housing Management.
In all of my roles I have been committed to improving homes and services by working with tenants, tenant representatives, board members, staff and the Council to achieve the best outcome we can with the resources available.
In my current role, I am responsible for teams delivering housing management services to 42,000 tenants and 2,000 leaseholders - including rent and arrears collection, managing tenancies and dealing with anti-social behaviour complaints, looking after estates and the environment, engaging communities in influencing the housing service, delivering tenant services and providing supported housing.

Jon Lovibond, Director of Investment
I have worked for the Sheffield Council Housing Department and Sheffield Homes since 1986 in a range of jobs, among them Estate Management Officer, Area Manager and Director.
It was my big career change from fork-lift truck driving and bus conducting - and I also paid my rent to the Council for years!
I am originally from Cardiff, and have lived in a number of towns and cities in the UK before settling in Sheffield, but this is the place I want to live and work. Sheffield is a proud city and one with a great future to mirror its past.
Sheffield Homes will be a vital part of achieving the changes to homes and communities that people want - and that will secure the quality of life everyone deserves. I am determined to give tenants and leaseholders a voice, to work with partners to get the best possible value out of public money, and to ensure we continue to provide excellent services through committed staff.
There is a lot to do, and it won't be easy - housing is never easy - but together (ourselves, tenants and the Council) we have the confidence and strength to succeed.
