Which awards have we won?

December 2009: Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) Resident Involvement Quality (RIQ) Standard

Sheffield Homes is only one of six Arms Length Management Organisations (ALMOs) to achieve Resident Improvement Quality (RIQ) Standard, which is the recognised excellence standard for all social housing landlords.

April 2009: National Federation of ALMOs (NFA) awards

Finalist in the ' Most Effective Partnership Project' category for our tree planting project in partnership with Sheffield Council, local communities and schools.

October 2008: National Training Award in Partnership and Collaboration

Winner, with Kier Sheffield and Community Training Services, of the Yorkshire and Humber Region award for the City Stewardship training programme to improve the skills of young people.

Finalist in the Large Employer category for our anti-social behaviour training and accreditation package.

October 2008: Celebrating Construction in Sheffield Awards

Winners in partnership with Kier, Lovell, Henry Boot, Wates and Keepmoat:

• in the “Health and Safety” category for improvements through best practice, effective partnership working and worker involvement; in
• the “Innovation” category for the Panagraph software package used to support the delivery of the Decent Homes programme.

June 2008: Contact Centre World Awards

Silver Medal in the “Best Small Contact Centre” category for the Europe Region for our two call centres.

May 2008: National Federation of ALMOs Awards

Highly commended in the “Best Use of Communications” category for a DVD on anti-social behaviour and good citizenship made with a local school as a teaching aid.

November 2007: UK Housing Awards

Shortlisted in the “Most Inspirational Colleague” category for our Community Champions awards scheme in memory of our late colleague Paul Key.

May 2007: National Federation of ALMOs Awards

Highly commended in the “Most Innovative Project” category for the City Stewardship young people’s training project.

November 2006: UK Housing Awards

Winner in the “Excellence in Delivering Safer Neighbourhoods” category for the innovative work of our Neighbourhood Action Team in preventing anti-social behaviour.

November 2006: Creating More Balance (CMB) South Yorkshire Awards

Winner of the CMB Maternity Award for support to staff through pregnancy, after the birth and returning to work.

October 2006: Remploy Leading the Way Award

Winner of the Northern Region Award in the Large Employer section for inclusion of people with disabilities and health condition.
