Ways to Pay
There are lots of different ways you can pay rent on your council home.
- Direct Debit is available for you to pay your rent direct from your bank account each month. It is the most convenient way to pay once you have set it up and it will automatically change whenever you have a change in rent (such as a rent increase). We will of course write to you beforehand if the monthly amount is going to change. To request a form ring the North Call Centre on 0114 293 0000 or the South Call Centre on 0114 205 3333, contact your local area housing office or First Point at Howden House. Alternatively, a Direct Debit form can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
- By Telephone with a Debit / Credit Card ring the North Call Centre on 0114 293 0000 or the South Call Centre on 0114 205 3333. Out of Office Hours you can ring the Automated Payment Line on 0114 273 5249 and choose option 2 when prompted, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You will need you 14 digit rent reference number and your debit / credit card to make the payment.
- Post Offices, PayPoint, Payzone, E-Pay and Woolworth stores you will need your Allpay rent payment card. No charge is made for paying through any of these outlets. To find your nearest Post Office, PayPoint and PayZone outlet, please visit the AllPay Website (new window).
- Howden House First Point using cash, cheque, debit card and postal orders. The counters are open 8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
