Improvements to Your Home
Sheffield Homes works in partnership with several contractors to carry out major repairs and renewals to council homes together with improvements to meet the Government's Decent Homes Standard.
This work would be part of a planned programme of improvements, drawn up following consultation with local residents.
It might involve individual homes or groups of homes on estates throughout Sheffield.
The work could include:
- Repairs to the exterior fabric of buildings
- Roof repairs and new roofs
- Cavity wall and roof insulation
- Replacement of windows
- New kitchens and bathrooms
- Installing or replacing central heating
- Rewiring
- Removing asbestos
- Repairs or renewal of paths, steps, fencing and walls
