Anti-Social Behaviour

We believe that people should be able to enjoy peace and quiet in their own home and feel safe and secure in the areas where they live.

Anti-social behaviour causes real misery for people who just want to get on with their lives. It ranges from serious acts of violence and harassment, to more ‘everyday’ incidents like noise nuisance.

All Council tenants have tenancy conditions which prohibit them (and their families or guests) from causing anti-social behaviour. In certain circumstances, the Council also has powers to take action against others who are not Council tenants.

We therefore have procedures in place to ensure that when cases are reported to us, we take quick and effective action.

You can find our service standards in our ASB Customer Charter and our Harrasment & Racism Customer Charter.  These leaflets are also available in community languages.  You can also access Incident Diaries in community languages.
