Garden Scheme for the Elderly and Disabled
The Council operates a garden scheme for elderly or disabled residents.
The scheme is not restricted to Sheffield Homes residents - Housing Association residents and owner occupiers are also welcome to apply. There is no charge for the service. The service is limited to a single visit each year.
Applicants need to be:-
- Aged 75 or over or,
- Have a disability, which prevents them from gardening and,
- There should be no one else under the age of 75 at home able to do the work, or any friends, relatives or neighbours who are willing to do the work.
Applications can be made:
- In person at your nearest Housing Office or First Point
- By telephone on:

Things to remember
- The service is free of charge and you will not be asked for money.
- Always ensure you check the identification of the operatives coming to do the work
