We are committed to tackling anti-social behaviour, so that people feel safe, happy and secure in their homes and communities.
In the past year, from April 2007 to March 2008, we dealt with 7866 cases of anti-social behaviour.
We successfully resolved 98.2% of the cases without the need for costly and lengthy legal action.
However, although we see legal action as the last resort we are fully prepared to use all the powers we have to put a stop to anti-social behaviour.
Publicity
We believe that the public should be aware of the strong action we take when dealing with anti-social behaviour.
Therefore, we will always issue a press release of our successful court cases to the local media and we will include the names of the perpetrators who caused the anti social behaviour.
