BREAKING A PROMISE AGAIN COULD MEAN PRISON - 21 May 2008
A Manor woman who broke a promise not to threaten a former neighbour has found herself back before the courts in Sheffield City Council and Sheffield Homes’ continued crackdown on anti social behaviour.
Juliet Brown, 43, of Bassledene Road received a suspended prison sentence at Sheffield County Court for breaching an undertaking, given in February, not to be abusive or threatening to a former neighbour.
Two weeks after Miss Brown gave the undertaking to the court, she abused her former neighbour in town and insulted her son.
The allegations, and the breach of the promise, were found proved on Wednesday 14 May at Sheffield County Court by His Honour Judge Swanson. He sentenced Miss Brown to four weeks in prison, suspended until February 2009, meaning that she will be sent to prison if she breaches the undertaking again.
