Area and Properties

Bressingham area covers Bressingham Close, Bressingham Road and some of Grimesthorpe Road and Grimesthorpe Road South. It consists of mostly council flats, but there also some houses. There are currently no privately owned properties in the Bressingham area.

Investment

As part of the decent homes programme, the properties in the area will under go improvement, particularly to kitchens and bathrooms, around 2009-2010.

They can also go to the bottom of Burngreave Road to the various convenience stores situated there and close by on Spital Hill. The closest doctor for the Bressingham estate is the Burngreave Surgery at 5 Burngreave Road. This can be reached with a short car ride but is close enough to walk to.

Cash Points

There is a cash machine located on Ellsmere Road and one on Spital Hill, inside The Ozmen Supermarket. Please note that the machine in The Ozmen Supermarket charges a fee.

Parks

One of the closest parks for Bressingham Residents is Abbeyfield Park, located near the top of Burngreave road. As well as open spaces, it has a children’s climbing frame and play area, two areas for football, an area for cricket and a bowls green. Local children designed the park’s side gate.
Another nearby park is Somerset Street Open Space, just off Burngreave Road. It has a basketball court and swing set.

There are no bus routes that go through Bressingham itself, residents would need to walk to Spital Hill or Burngreave Road to get onto the bus routes. The bus numbers within walking distance are
