Carwood
Area and Properties
The Carwood area consists of council flats and houses. Some of it is built on some quite steep hills, so is probably less suitable for elderly or disabled tenants.
Investment
As part of the decent homes programme, the properties in the area will undergo improvement, particularly to kitchens and bathrooms, between the beginning of 2009 and the end of 2010.

The Carwood area is served by the Astra TARA.

Cash Points
There is a cash machine located on Ellsmere Road and one on Spital Hill, inside The Ozmen Supermarket. Please note that the machine in The Ozmen Supermarket charges a fee.

The bus numbers 4, 20 and 20A go through the Carwood area.
