Neighbour Relations
We have a specialist team that delivers an effective, customer-focused tenancy management service that recognises the diverse needs of the community in the area.
In partnership with the local community, the police and other like-minded organisations we aim to provide a sense of belonging and security to the tenants and residents who live within the North of Sheffield neighbourhood.
Key targets:
- Ensure that all new tenants are visited within four weeks of moving in
- Take prompt effective action on all reported cases within target time scales
- A resolution to complaints of serious or persistent anti-social behaviour, nuisance or harassment
- Assurance that all cases of racial harassment and abuse are dealt with consistently, fairly and appropriately
- Assisting the police in resolving cases of crime and disorder
- Legal action against perpetrators of anti-social behaviour by seeking injunctions, committal proceedings, anti-social behaviour orders, possession and eviction proceedings
- Confidentiality and witness support
- Develop a publicity strategy to raise the profile of enforcement work in the area and to improve understanding of how to register a complaint about anti social behaviour
- Actively encouraging community-led strategies and initiatives
