Service Plan for North West Area
Each Sheffield Homes housing area produces an annual Service Plan, which describes what its priorities are for the coming year and what it plans to do over the next 12 months. The plans reflect the views of tenants in each area as well as the targets and priorities set by the Government.
Major Projects & Tasks for 2008/09
- Role out community engagement events across the Area with specific emphasis on themes and events that will encourage young people and hard to reach groups (BME) to get involved.
- Promote cleaner safer greener neighbourhoods with specific emphasis onproviding access to activities that young people can get involved with.Tackling anti-social behaviour, untidy gardens, promoting garden competitions and sponsorship. Work more closely with existing greener groups.
- Provide an outreach 'First Point' service at those areas furthest away from In Person access points, Hillsborough & Stocksbridge. To provide customer services, to tenants who find getting to us a problem.
- Continue to improve customer service at our First Point by continuing to provide and deliver excellent services that meet the diverse and changing needs of our customers. Particular emphasis on providing a full service to the customer on ‘first contact’.
- Develop, train and support staff, with particular emphasis on staff who have taken on new roles, responsibilities and duties following the restructure last year within the area of community engagement, tenancy management and anti-social behaviour.
